Dr. Jesús Martínez

Welcome to my web. Thank you for visiting. Nature and especially rivers and streams have been present in my life since childhood.

In 2003, I started to collaborate  with Dr. Marcos Gonzalez in the University of Santiago de Compostela, who gave me the oportunity to work in entomology. Since then, my life is deeply linked with caddisflies. In 2014, I successfully defended my PhD on the fauna of Iberian caddisflies, with a particular focus on its faunistic and biogeographical aspects. I continue to engage in research activities in the Iberian river systems.

I am currently an independent entomologist and scientific collaborator with the research group "Biodiversity, Biogeography and Conservation of Invertebrates" at the University of Santiago de Compostela.
